The Hangar Flight Museum Fundraiser
The Hangar Flight Museum is looking for help in raising funds to fix their tent hangar’s roof. After receiving a heavy snowfall in December, the museum suffered damage when the fabric that covers the metal structure ripped and dumped snow onto the historic aircraft inside. Fortunately, there was no damage to the artifacts inside the museum.

In January the building was hit by a second storm, this one a windstorm, with wind speeds above 90km/h. The wind caught the tear and expanded the size of the damage to the fabric. The fire department was brought in to ensure that this section of fabric was removed safely.
The unfortunate accident has led the museum to explore other options for their roof with the goal of seeing a heated, insulated building with a concrete floor to replace the original tent hangar. |
