As our connections with like-minded history practitioners continue to grow in both range and depth, our Society has created the museum membership category, expressly designed for three  purposes: 
  1. To attract museums to join with the CAHS in preserving and celebrating Canada's aviation history;
  2. To help cross-promote the profile of Canada's aviation museums and the CAHS through the organizations' membership and networks; and
  3. To foster an increasing sense of community and professionalism amongst aviation museums.​​

If you wish to sign up instead by mailing in a form with your payment, you can download, print, and complete this mail-in CAHS Museum Membership registration form (PDF - <100 kb). There is also a French version (PDF - <100 kb).

​Although the CAHS continues to accept the traditional cheque or money order as methods of payment by mail, this site offers secure transactions using your preferred credit card or PayPal account.

Tangible Benefit

For the annual $100 membership fee, a Museum Member gains access to a number of tangible benefits:
  • CAHS National Membership rights including 1 CAHS Journal annual subscription and a vote at the Annual General Meeting;
  • A donation tax receipt for $50;
  • The museum name displayed in each monthly CAHS newsletter, linked to the Museum Member's web site;
  • The ability to contribute news, information, and updates to a Museum Members column of the CAHS e-newsletter;
  • The CAHS will work to schedule at least one museum related speaker at the annual convention;
  • Invitation to schedule a Museum Members session in conjunction with the CAHS annual convention to discuss museum related issues;
  • Be offered display space for free at our annual convention;
  • An invitation to place one pre-printed flyer in each of our quarterly CAHS Journal mailings for free (up to a $100 benefit).
Additionally, Museum Members are offered special rates for selling the CAHS Journal in their gift shop:
  • Retailer-discount on 1 to 5 copies of each of the four annual issues as initial gift shop stock;
  • The CAHS would, upon request, ship up to 5 more (copies 6 to 10) for free;
  • The Retailer discount rate would resume after the 10th copy shipped for any given CAHS Journal issue;
  • This amounts p to a $80+ benefit;

In return, the CAHS requests that Museum Members would:
  • Put a link to the CAHS website on their website.
  • Include CAHS information items in newsletters.
  • Permit CAHS membership brochures to be displayed.
  • Inform their members that the CAHS Journal seeks articles on, and supporting materials to help illustrate, Canadian aviation history. ​​
The CAHS Museum Membership is a $230 value, available to Canadian aviation museums for only $100. We do hope that you see great value in becoming a member of our Society and that you will join in our quest to help preserve Canada's aviation history as we record, disseminate, and celebrate the tremendous accomplishments that have taken place on Canadian soil, in Canadian skies, and through Canadian effort elsewhere.
