Then the Canadian Aviation Historical Society (CAHS) is the place for you!
 
We have a diverse membership from across Canada and the world. Member bios range from those who have lived the history to those who are documenting it for future generations, and all manner of people in between, "aviationists" one and all. Once we have the members-only area fully deployed on this site, we aim to host members’ pages which will uncover a community that shares your interests, can assist you with your projects, or can help tell your stories. Annual Membership Entitlements

Traditional Members are entitled:
  • To receive four issues of the printed edition of the CAHS Journal delivered by mail, postage-included.
  • To receive the CAHS National Monthly e-Newsletter delivered by e-mail.
  • Membership rates for current members +1 guest to the CAHS National Annual Convention.
  • The right to cast a vote at the CAHS Annual General Meeting.
  • The right to cast a vote for each of the two annual CAHS Journal Article Awards.
  • Access to the Members-only area of the site.*
  • A Traditional Membership may be converted to Online Membership status at membership renewal time.
Online Members are entitled:
  • To receive four issues of the digital edition of the CAHS Journal delivered, via the internet, as a high-resolution PDF.
  • An Online Membership may be converted to Traditional Membership status at membership renewal time.
  • To all other membership entitlements listed under Traditional Members…, with the CAHS Journal delivery method and membership conversion differences noted.
Family Memberships
​Family membership plans are also offered so that primary registrants, whether Online or Traditional, can register a family member for Online Membership at the same time as they are completing their registration or renewal.
CAHS Journal Digital Editions
​Although the Online option is ideal for students, highly mobile people, or the budget-minded, there are other more technical considerations that may make it a good choice for:
a) people experiencing vision impairment or,
b) people whose work/research might benefit from the inherent "search" feature. 
Our digital editions are in the universal PDF format, but carefully crafted to retain high-resolution graphical elements, with text that retains its sharpness, even while zoomed in to be read at higher magnifications on-screen. All text content is fully searchable on most computers and mobile devices using Adobe Acrobat Reader, already-installed system-level PDF viewers, and many tested third party PDF viewers.
* The work-in-progress Members-Only area of this website includes an access point to all currently digitized editions of the CAHS Journal (2010 to present, with the digitization of older issues being a project for future consideration). Other Members-only content areas being considered for future development include searchable data files (for example, Canadian Civil Aircraft Registrations (digitizing the work of John Ellis) and Canadian Military Honours and Awards (digitizing the work of Hugh Halliday)), exclusive photo galleries, and blog-like pages for members who wish to create new-content exclusively for the CAHS Membership.
