A Canadian Aviation Historical Society Chapter

The Canadian Aviation Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of civil and military aviation history through the work of regional and municipal chapters.

The Medicine Hat Aviation History Society, as the local CAHS
Medicine Hat Chapter, follows this guideline by preserving the history of local and regional aviation, combining both civil and military experiences as related by those involved. The establishment of a British Commonwealth Air Training Plan organization, No. 34 Service Flying Training School, here in Medicine Hat ensured that the city will always be closely associated with a strong general aviation background.

The establishment of several air service companies in the district also ensured that former and current members have contributed to the community. It is also through the work of air traffic controllers, aircraft maintenance staff, and emergency response organizations who utilize aerial support, that the deeply rooted history of aviation will never be far from our minds.

Meetings and Other Events
July 8, 2020. Location Schooners Pub in Medicine Hat Legion building. The address is, 702 2 St SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 0E1.   Just a social. They can accommodate 10 to 25 people for a light lunch Just a chance to keep together and chat aviation. Social distancing and sanitizing rules are in place there. Dress, very summer casual. A good chance to support the Legion well. C19 has hit all Legions hard as far as the business side of supporting our Veterans goes.

As an aside, VAC has a lot of programs but some Vertans still need emergency help, which the legion provides.  Happy Canada Day
