Pennfield Ridge Air Station Memorial Service

Harold E. Wright
CAHS New Brunswick Chapter

Here are a few photos of the Pennfield Ridge Air Station Memorial Service, held with co-sponsor 250 (Saint John) Wing, RCAFA. The annual service was held on Sunday, 20 August 2019. The wreath to the Fallen was laid by Pte. Winnifred Rice, RASC, a Second War veteran. The guest speaker at the lunch was S/L (ret'd) Bruce Carter, who served for a time at Pennfield with the RNZAF. After Bruce's presentation, Dr. Bruce Lockhart, a Turnbull Director, spoke about WO Basil Hargrove, who trained at Pennfield, but was lost on 31 Dec 1944 over Dusseldorf, Germany.
