Zoom Meeting Information
CAHS is inviting you to a Zoom meeting for the CAHS Annual General Meeting
Before the meeting, ensure you have the Zoom application loaded on your computer, tablet, or phone that you intend to use. Zoom is free to use when you participate in meetings. You can see the download options here:
There are options for downloading the application for computers (Zoom Client for Meetings), Chromebooks (Zoom Extension for Browsers), and tablets and phones (Zoom Mobile Apps). You will need to create an account. Please use your real name for your account name so that we can see who is in the meeting. People who attempt to join with an alias may be denied entry to prevent "Zoom Bombing".
Join the meeting by clicking on the link above. That will open the Zoom application. When you join, you will be in the "waiting room" until you're admitted to the meeting. Once admitted, you should be able to see the intro screen and hear the audio. If you can't, please email Jim Bell, or text Jim at 204 293-5402, and he'll try to get you on. If you cannot join with video due to poor internet connection, etc, there are several phone numbers you can call that will allow you to listen in like a teleconference. These numbers are not toll-free.
Zoom Etiquette During the meeting, attendees will be muted so that you won't be able to speak (and we won't hear whatever is going on in the background in your house). There are two methods to ask questions: a "Raise Hand" button, and a Chat screen. With the Chat function, you can address questions to everyone, or to a specific person using a drop-down menu. Questions sent using Chat will be answered as soon as possible. We will also have a question session at the end of the meeting, where the mute is turned off, and we can all talk. At that time, whoever is speaking will be the main image displayed on the screen.
