In July 2024, Harold E. Wright, Secretary of the Turnbull (NB) Chapter, received an email from Government House. In part it said, "On behalf of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, I am pleased to inform you that you have been carefully selected to receive one of one hundred King Charles III Coronation Medals that Her Excellency is personally awarding and presenting as part of this program."

On 20 September 2024, Harold he was presented his medal at a ceremony at the Citadel in Quebec City. He was one of 57 persons honoured that day. To be eligible for this award, the recipient must, "have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region of, or community in, Canada, or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada."

Harold was nominated for his contributions to Education in Canada. His award's citation read, “for leading commemorative projects that feature veterans’ stories, and for enriching our knowledge of Canadian history through numerous initiatives.” Congratulations, Harold, for his significant recognition of your ongoing efforts to capture and disseminate Canada's military, veteran, and aviation history. You do the CAHS proud.
