FRONT: Sopwith Triplane N5487 "Black Prince",
one of Bob Bradford's finest historical aviation paintings was created for the
CAHS to mark the artisit's departure from our board of directors and was
donated to the NAM on the occasion of Bob's appointment as the Museum's
Assistant Curator in 1964. It was first reproduced in black and white on
the cover of the Fall '65 Journal.
BACK:
aviation paintings by Don Connolly have appeared on numerous occasions in the Journal.
His rendering of the Canberra P. R. 7Avries V done in a
characteristically vigorous style, was commissioned by Jean-Louis Denis
author of The Making of a Record Flight starting on P 44.
