the Vickers Supermarine Walrus (affectionately called the Shagboat) was designed for use by the RAF to locate and rescue airmen forced down at sea. CF-GKA the only example ever flown civilly in Canada was used by Kenting Aviation to ferry geoligists about Newfoundland and Labrador in the late '40's. Our reproduction is from a slide shown by Smitty Smith (story on P 134) at the 1993 CAHS Regina Convention.
