CAHS Executive News Welcome to the CAHS
Ever since its inception in 1962, the Canadian Aviation Historical Society has strived to offer its members quality service and products that reflect Canada’s rich aviation heritage. Today, the Society is this country’s leading historical guardian of aviation history with a membership that spans the globe. Our aim is to promote, preserve, educate and nurture Canada’s past accomplishments, and to share those historical moments with Canadians and the international community alike. As a charitable organization, the CAHS is a fully chartered association and proud of its many accomplishments. Membership has grown from our few envisioned founders, to a worldwide following that continues to grow each day. This web site is an excellent example of the time and effort that is given of freely, by our dedicated volunteers and membership across the country. Now that you have landed on our site, I encourage you to take some time and browse around, as there is much to see and learn. Then, if you like what you see and are an aviation enthusiast, consider joining our ranks at one of our local Chapters, where your interests will really be peaked. Membership costs are minimal and by joining the CAHS national registry, you will receive a copy of our much sought after quarterly Journal. The publication contains a treasure of interesting stories of past historical aviation events that have been compiled and recounted by some of Canada’s most astute historians. And, for those of you who would like to maintain a personal library of our Canadian aviation history, for a small fee the Society can provide you with a full set of our past publications. Take advantage of this unique opportunity as there are hours of rich history contained within our Journal pages. For those of you who know of the CAHS and of our many accomplishments, we encourage you to spread the word to your friends and family, so that they too can benefit from our heritage. Take a few moments to fill in the short application form in yours, or maybe as a gift - in someone else’s name. I know that you and your friends won’t be disappointed - because the value is both timeless and priceless. Welcome to the CAHS.
