Covers:
Front:
Frank Wootton has made available to the Journal his recent painting of the
first Allied downing of a manned jet aircraft - by pilots' of 401 Squadron,
5 October 1944. As always Frank has produced not only a dramatic
illustration, but a beautiful painting.
Rear:
the fine portrait shot of Clark Seaborn's Waco UIC Standard over typical
Alberta countryside is by Martin Riehl whose work is familiar to Journal
readers. More on Clark's Waco can be found on P. 119
