rendering, titled Last Wave In, by well known aviation artist Don Connolly,
Lancaster II, OW-D of 426 Squadron RCAF, piloted by Bill Swetman, begins its
bombing run on the Peenemunde V-2 missile development site on 17/18 August
1943.
Rear:
This shot of de Havilland D.H. 80A Puss Moth, CF-AVC, from a slide in the
collection of the late John Caron, was probably taken at the Oshawa airport
sometime in the 1950s.
